About the event
Speaker: Myra Strand, Strand Squared Solutions
Sexual harassment has been a problem of the workforce since people have been working together. However, the world is rapidly shifting as we all aim to address issues of inequality and to eradicate discrimination and harassment. With increased awareness, expectations have evolved significantly.
Employees now seek workplaces that genuinely strive to create a safe environment. It is no longer sufficient to offer superficial training or merely comply with regulations. Clients and guests want to support companies that value all individuals and prioritize both physical and emotional safety.
Workplace harassment is a serious concern that can escalate into criminal behavior. Ignoring criminal conduct by supervisors, employees, or even guests can result in significant liability. By applying a trauma-informed, healing-centered approach, we can create a safe and healthy work environment. Join us for this session to explore the dynamics of harassment, identify when it crosses into criminal behavior, and discuss effective response strategies.
