Inclusion & Equity in the Workplace - Where Do We Start?

It can feel very daunting to make the organizational commitment to work on inclusion and equity in the workplace. With so many seemingly competing priorities, where do we start? The starting line is not always the same, based on the type of organization in which you’re leading. 

This workshop will outline the questions to ask and answer to outline a Inclusion & Equity Map - finding the confluence of this work and your strategic priorities (if inclusion and equity aren’t currently identified). We will begin by acknowledging that while we cannot do everything - we can absolutely do something - and soon! We’ll look at the seasonal flow to guide when to do the best work.

We are river and training professionals collaboratively inspiring and supporting organizations to eliminate workplace discrimination and harassment through policy assessment, training and organizational change. Our name A-DASH (Anti-Discrimination and Sexual Harassment) reflects the group’s focus on a behavior and culture commonly accepted and tolerated in many organizations. This focus does not diminish the importance of the larger or other equity issues, but instead seeks to create a fine point on this area as part of a portfolio of tools and methods available to organization leaders.

The A-DASH Collaborative knows rivers, for we work on them for those who work on them. We are educators, trainers, business owners and non-profit leaders.
