We hear it all the time from men, “I am not the one. I don’t say or do misogynistic, homophobic or racist things, and so I’m not the problem.”

While this may be true, men cannot separate themselves from the lack of equity at work and must move to action in order to create impact.

In this webinar and discussion we will look at the structures of our work environments and the way that shows up in how we work and lead in our organizations.  We will examine the typical masculine model that prescribes how men are supposed to act, and what happens when we don’t. We will talk about moving from a “performative ally” to an “ active ally.” You will leave with actionable steps you can take back to your organization to create a more equitable work culture.

About the A-DASH Collaborative

We are educators, trainers, business owners and nonprofit leaders collaboratively inspiring and supporting organizations to eliminate workplace discrimination and harassment through policy assessment, training, and organizational change. Our name A-DASH (Anti-Discrimination and Sexual Harassment) reflects the group’s focus on the unwelcome behaviors and unsafe culture that are commonly accepted and tolerated in many river-based workplaces. Our Collaborative includes representatives from River Management Society, National Park Service, Arizona Raft Adventures, Nantahala Outdoor Center, Engage Coaching and Consulting, Strand Squared Solutions. and Respect Outside.
